Our Milestones: The Journey of SMS

Early 2000s — The Beginning

A group of passionate Singaporeans envisioned bringing the rich tradition of high-quality, character-focused mission school education to Vientiane.

2010 — First Steps

Launched simple daily English enrichment classes that quickly blossomed into welcoming our very first full-time students later that year.

2013 — Strategic Partnership

Partnered with the Methodist Missions Society (MMS), bringing invaluable oversight, funding, and structural growth to our community.

2014 — Official Licensing

Formally recognized as an institution of excellence, receiving our official license from the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES).

2017 — Campus Expansion

Opened a purpose-built campus extension, providing dedicated classrooms tailored for Primary 1 to Primary 5 students.

2024 — Pearson Accreditation

Achieved a major milestone by becoming an officially accredited Pearson Examination Centre, allowing students to sit for globally recognized exams on campus.

2025 — Growing Our Facilities

Opened a brand-new, dedicated Kindergarten facility to welcome our youngest learners into a nurturing educational environment.

2026 — Secondary School Era

Obtained our formal license from MoES to launch our Secondary school program! We started strong with two pioneering classes—Year 6 and Year 7—offering the complete Lao national curriculum alongside the Pearson Edexcel international program, creating a powerful pathway for students keen to pursue International GCSE qualifications.
